So here goes nothing.
I was definitely enthralled by the fact that Mia wanted to avenge her father’s death. But this book was so wrapped up in murders I’ve lost count of who mattered and who didn’t. Tric and Ash are definitely my favorite characters.
It took me a bit to get into it, my first audiobook in a long while. This book definitely not YA, which I went in knowing already. But just a reminder for those who place it in YA, JUST NO. DON’T DO IT.
The character development was strong as was the excellent world building. Those two things are vital or else I think I might have dropped the book altogether. I’m looking forward to see where the second book takes things
