This is a book that just couldn’t get behind, even though I did enjoy most of the characters and ideas of Ninth House. It just didn’t keep my attention. The gruesome parts were well thought out. But I was just simply bored, that hasn’t happened to me in a long time either. I didn’t always understand why the main character was making all these random stories about either her past life or just some random observation that just didn’t correlate with the plot or just anything. It took me out of the book a lot.
